Kara England MS is the Hotel Program Coordinator at The CARE Program, a group of advocates that work with local law enforcement, prosecutors, forensic examiner nurses, and community organizations to serve those that have experienced intimate partner violence in Ingham County. Prior to that she performed substance use disorder and domestic violence evaluations and worked as a Battering Intervention Program (BIP) facilitator for Prevention and Training Services (PATS) Inc. in the Ingham County area. She received her master’s degree in Criminal Justice at Michigan State University in 2021. She continues to be actively involved in the community by being a part of discussions on housing and criminal justice responses to intimate partner violence. She is currently a board member for the Battering Intervention Services Coalition of Michigan.
