Joshua Lane is the program coordinator for the STOP grant at Hope Shores Alliance in Alpena Michigan. Before coming back to the US, Joshua grew up and worked in Pakistan, Bangladesh, and other areas in Southeast Asia, working with charitable organizations for over 15 years. Though raised in a corporate boardroom, his allegiance lies with people, which has shaped his direction in life and continues to be a guiding objective.

Upon returning to the US, he continued his community centered endeavors by joining Hope Shores Alliance.  During his time at HSA, Joshua has participated in establishing set practices for a pilot program working with the courts and collaborating closely with community leaders in a unified approach.  Joshua is on Sexual Assault and Domestic Violence Response Teams for a five county area as well as introducing a BIP in the same area. He also gives presentations to local groups that are interested in working with HSA to provide fundraising opportunities.  He currently sits on the board of directors for Legal Services of Northern Michigan which has increased the availability of competent legal services to survivors in the area free of charge. Joshua provides training to local community members and support for the community that is dealing with domestic violence and sexual assault.
